We are looking for Interns to join our Homes Construction and Real Estate Development teams for summer internships in Richmond, VA. We are looking for YOU! WHO YOU ARE Strong Communicator. WHAT YOU'LL DO - HOMES CONSTRUCTION INTERN Complete and assist in supervision of routine day-to-day assigned tasks of the homebuilding process Assist with maintaining community appearance according to established standards including inventory and model homes and site cleanliness Observe Construction Manager during customer service situations Develop a working knowledge of all established construction related processes and systems Understand and report current statuses of homes under construction within assigned community WHAT YOU'LL DO - REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT INTERN Review site layout plans and construction plans for revenue and cost estimates Participate in site visits, collect and organize data, and help prepare feasibility reports outlining risks and benefits. Assist with financial modeling of potential development projects Gain knowledge and exposure to the acquisition and planning phase of real estate development
Requirements
- Rising Junior or Senior currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Real Estate, or a related field
- Interest in real estate development, urban planning, construction management, or project management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
Responsibilities
