How you’ll make an impact: The user experience research team is seeking an intern to assist us in assessment and enhancement of our customer applications and experiences.

Requirements

  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by May 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Design Research, Sociology, Communications, Media Studies, or other degree with an emphasis on research methods preferred.
  • Good project management and planning skills.
  • Good personnel management skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to details.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Knowledge of human-subjects research methods, including various qualitative methods like usability testing and interviews.
  • Knowledge of psychology, design, human-computer interaction, human factors, ergonomics, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Google collaboration tools (Google docs, sheets, slides).
  • Knowledge of the music streaming landscape.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute research using a variety of qualitative methods like usability testing, interviews, and syntheses of existing research.
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare research deliverables, and ensure effective communication of insights to satellite and streaming radio product teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with Design, Content Strategy, and Product Management partners to understand business context and determine research questions.
