Our vision is to conduct our operations in a manner that inspires public confidence in government by administering and enforcing tax, child support and municipal finance laws in ways that are innovative, customer-focused, and transparent The Labor Relations Unit is responsible for advising executive and senior management on all labor and employment matters as well as representing the agency in all administrative forums including the Department of Labor Relations, Civil Service Commission, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and binding arbitration. The Unit represents the agency in collective bargaining negotiations with employee unions and works to ensure proper administration of applicable collective bargaining agreements. The Unit reviews employment-related policies, negotiates settlement agreements and provides training to agency personnel on a variety of subjects. The successful candidate will provide assistance with resolving issues presented to Labor Relations. This will include document review, assistance in preparing for administrative hearings, participating in grievance proceedings, and other related tasks in support of Labor Relations.
