Internship Program Overview: Our 2026 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week internship program, scheduled to begin on June 8, 2026. Interns are expected to work full-time throughout the summer. Summer interns will join an intern class consisting of undergraduate and graduate students to work on exciting projects in one of EDC’s many dynamic departments. Summer Interns will also participate in training programs, networking events, and other professional development opportunities over the course of the program. Department Overview: NYCEDC’s Equity and Community Impact (E&CI) Division drives the organization’s commitment to advancing equitable outcomes across all projects and programs. E&CI provides technical assistance, strategic guidance, measurement and evaluation, and stakeholder engagement to promote fair and inclusive economic growth throughout New York City. The division’s key focus areas include Equity, Economic Mobility, Program Evaluation, M/W/DBE, and Accessibility. Our Program Evaluation team plays a key role in measuring the impacts of NYCEDC’s economic mobility programs, including the HireNYC and Community Hiring initiatives, ensuring all New Yorkers can access quality jobs and opportunities to thrive. Through data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and best practices research and hands-on learning, we work to enhance the city’s efforts toward equitable economic development. As an intern, you will work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Program Evaluation, helping to evaluate these impactful programs and contributing to the future of workforce development in NYC.
