About The Position

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties, locations, and responsibilities performed by incumbent(s) in this job. This job description is not a “contract” between the employee and the Authority. The job duties and essential functions may be changed at the discretion of the General Manager. The Summer Intern, Construction Projects will be responsible for supporting the daily operational needs of the section, focusing on project coordination, scheduling, and data analysis for water-related construction projects.

Requirements

• Background in project planning, scheduling, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of basic construction project management principles.
• Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
• Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
• Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
• Strong project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in project management or construction management.
• Familiarity with construction schedules and contract documentation.
• Preferred Major: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Familiarity with contract management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily scheduling and project coordination for ongoing construction projects.
• Conduct data analysis to track the progress and performance of construction projects.
• Support communication and documentation between project teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and other documents related to contract management.
