About The Position

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 05 The Team: Join our Security Engineering team that builds tools and automation to help engineers work more effectively and securely. As an AI Automation Intern, you will work at the intersection of security engineering, automation, and applied AI. The team is hands‑on and practical, with a strong focus on learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement. As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers who enjoy mentoring, sharing context, and giving you space to explore ideas while helping turn the best ones into real, usable solutions. What is in it for you? Work on real AI agentic automation problems Design and prototype AI‑powered agents that help security engineers work faster and smarter Collaborate directly with senior engineers and architects who will mentor you and review your designs Get exposure to modern GenAI patterns (agent orchestration, tool‑calling, retrieval, evaluation) in an enterprise environment Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Strong curiosity and willingness to explore new, rapidly evolving technologies
  • Systems thinking: able to reason about workflows, edge cases, and unintended consequences
  • Clear written and verbal communication, especially when explaining technical ideas to non‑experts
  • Ownership mindset: you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
  • Ability to accept feedback and iterate quickly
  • You must commence your internship from the June 1st until August 7th 2026.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, ideally in your penultimate year.
  • Experience programming in Python (for automation, prototyping, and scripting)
  • Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and basic service integration
  • Foundational understanding of large language models and how they are used in applications (prompting, tool use, retrieval, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of security fundamentals (authentication, authorization, data sensitivity, least privilege)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or exposure to agentic frameworks (e.g., tool‑calling agents, planners, orchestrators, workflow engines)
  • Familiarity with RAG patterns, embeddings, or vector search concepts
  • Experience building internal tools, CLIs, or lightweight web apps
  • Exposure to cloud platforms or containerized environments
  • Interest in AI evaluation, testing, or reliability techniques
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype agentic AI workflows that automate or augment security engineering tasks (e.g., analysis, triage, documentation, evidence gathering, knowledge synthesis)
  • Build internal tools or proof‑of‑concept systems that combine LLMs, APIs, and automation frameworks into end-to-end agentic solutions
  • Experiment with different agent architectures (single‑agent vs. multi‑agent, planner/executor patterns, human-in-the-loop workflows) and document tradeoffs
  • Apply security and data‑handling best practices when building AI‑driven automation
  • Evaluate agent behavior for reliability, correctness, and failure modes, and propose improvements
  • Clearly document designs, experiments, and lessons learned so work can be reused or extended by the team
