About The Position
Facilities Management is hiring for the summer Grounds Crew. Students will assist with campus lawn care, general grounds cleanup, athletic field maintenance, landscaping projects, road maintenance, and various campus grounds projects. Applicants who enjoy doing outdoor work or have experience operating lawn care equipment are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Must be 16 or older
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, performing manual labor in all kinds of weather, occasionally in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work in standing, stooping and kneeling positions for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a sitting position on a piece of equipment for extended periods of time
- Ability to talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities including close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to traverse the Bethel Campus on a regular basis
- Ability to lift items weighing 75+ pounds
- Sufficient hand-eye coordination
- Hand and finger dexterity including the ability to grasp
- Visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical and safety information
