About The Position

The Department of Landscape Services is seeking responsible, motivated
undergraduate students to assist with outdoor cleaning and maintenance tasks,
including operating power washing equipment.

Students will be provided with all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection, and will receive training on their proper and safe use. Only soap and cold water will be needed for the role, with no additional chemicals anticipated.

Requirements

• Positive and professional attitude when interacting with staff, students, and visitors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and bending.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate power washing equipment to clean various outdoor surfaces.
• Ensure all assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, grime, and debris.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using power washing equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during the cleaning process.
• Perform additional grounds maintenance tasks such as litter picking, weed pulling, and debris clean-up as necessary.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate power washing equipment (training will be provided).
