About The Position
The Summer Tech Workers will be responsible for refurbishing all 625 student netbooks at U-High to like-new condition. This includes making all necessary hardware and software repairs, as well as cleaning cases, keyboards and touchpads, and testing power adapters and external tablets. In addition, the Summer Tech Worker will assist summer training sessions for teachers and students, and they will support and manage 7 laptop labs utilized for summer school.
Requirements
- Current University High School student
- Computer repair skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to teach others how to troubleshoot computer issues
- Ability to assist with student netbook training
- Ability to support laptop computer lab hardware, software, and wireless issues
- Applicants for this position must be authorized to work in the U.S. without ISU sponsorship.
- All work under this appointment is required to be performed from within the State of Illinois.
