The ideal candidate is ready to hit the ground running and will successfully take advantage of all iHeart’s platforms to exceed their clients’ expectations. Intern will assist the government affairs team with legislative research, event coordination, PAC related activities and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in government, politics and public policy
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent research and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to take feedback and follow instructions
  • Sound judgment and discretion
  • Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy in all interactions
  • This position is paid and in-person (with flexibility to occasionally work remotely as needed)
  • Flexible schedule - approximately 20 hrs / week

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze legislative and regulatory issues
  • Draft advocacy materials and policy updates
  • Support engagement with congressional offices and industry partners
  • Support iHeart's Black Information Network activities
  • Assist with our stations’ participation in the National Association of Broadcasters-50 State Broadcasters leadership conference
  • Assist with special projects and day-to-day team activities
