About The Position

We are seeking a co-op scientist to join the Discovery Biology team at the Branford, CT site. Based on level, the recruitee will assist experienced scientists to either learn or refine molecular biology and mammalian cell culture techniques and gain independence towards conducting experimentation in an HIV focused laboratory. The position is on site and for a period of 12 months.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field.
• Experience in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.
• Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-month Co-op (June 2026 ~ June 2027).
• Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
• Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.
• Once your application is submitted, you will be prompted to complete our immersive GSK Digital Assessment. A passing score is required to proceed in the application process.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with molecular cloning & cell culture.
• Experience with biosafety level 2 containment.
• Handling HIV and performing virus replication cell based assays are a plus.
