About The Position

We are seeking a Summer Camp Associate to join our mission of providing New York City’s 2.5 to 6-year-olds with an unforgettable summer rooted in learning, play, and community. In this role, you will be the heart of Camp Kids Club, our signature summer experience designed to spark curiosity and a sense of adventure! As a key member of our camp team, you will bring our unique, themed curriculum to life through an approach that blends creativity, movement, mindfulness, and outdoor exploration!

Requirements

• Education: A High School Diploma is required, but studying toward a Bachelor’s in education is preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of lead teaching ages 2-6 years old in preschool, after school, camp or other enrichment settings.
• Special Edge: Be a passionate teacher and lifelong learner!
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• The Adventure Guide: Bring our unique summer themes to life by leading children through immersive, urban nature-based learning, while utilizing gross motor play and hands-on creative projects. You’ll turn every day into a journey of discovery and adventure.
• The Developmental Partner: Help children build confidence, coordination, and social skills through activities and structured play, ensuring a “safe to fail” environment where children feel secure enough to take risks and explore their world.
• The Problem Solver: Support with transitions, classroom organization, and daily operations. You are the teammate who sees a need and jumps in with a smile.
• The Family Partner: Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates, sharing the successes and challenges of their child’s day, and building a bridge between school and home.
