About The Position

Saint Andrew’s is seeking a Summer Camp Aquatics Director to oversee the daily operations and activities of the pool facility for the 2026 camp season. Responsibilities work with a team of lifeguards/swim instructors to ensure safety of all swimmers at all times supervise all lifeguards and campers on the pool deck set lifeguard/swim instructor schedules and assigns lifeguards to specific groups develop a swim progression program of lessons for swimmers ages 3-12 at varying levels of development maintain the safety and cleanliness of the pool facility support lifeguards/swim instructors with lesson planning and evaluations setting up and resetting the pool facility for camp each day and ensuring that the pool facility is ready for evening swim activities assesses a swimmer’s progress one time per session using the American Red Cross guidelines for swim instruction and progression communicates with camp directors regularly communicates with camp counselors communicates with parents, if needed perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • must be 21 years of age or older
  • must be available all nine weeks of camp (June 1 to July 31, 2026)
  • possess leadership skills and responsible decision making
  • prior experience with pool and staff management
  • Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification
  • act as a positive role model to campers and counselors while representing Saint Andrew's School
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, and for the majority of the work day.
  • May be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
