About The Position

The Summer Bike Patrol position will ensure that all accidents on and off the mountain are adhered to in a safe manner. This person will continuously ensure that the resort environment is safe for guests and employees. EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE Working at Tamarack is an incredibly rewarding and magical experience. Requirements

  • You must have a current NREMT or Idaho EMTB, Idaho State EMS license or higher.
  • Ability to perform tasks in variable conditions including harsh weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid Class C Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-P) licensure or greater.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Continuous standing, walking, hiking, lifting and biking.
  • Frequent bending/stooping, kneeling, pushing and pulling objects with and without wheels, squatting, and twisting and turning from the waist.
  • Occasional crawling and driving.
  • Frequently working with hands and fingers and lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Continuous need for endurance.
  • Near and far vision as well as good depth perception, peripheral vision and color vision are important.
  • There is a continuous need to hear and talk in quiet and noisy surroundings.
  • Continuous use of the senses.

Responsibilities

  • Administer first aid to injured guests and staff.
  • Coordinate transport of injured persons to appropriate facility.
  • Continually monitor trail conditions to ensure the safety of all guests and staff.
  • Perform lift evacuations as required.
  • Provide mountain bike education to guests and staff.
  • Perform risk management duties as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • This duty may include assisting other departments as needed.
  • Understand lift operations and may occasionally need to operate a lift.
