The intern will be a member of the scaled-down Viral Technology Influenza Support Lab and will participate in a variety of process development studies, contributing to the process development of influenza bulk manufacturing. The benefit to the student will be the hands-on learning of the industrial manufacturing process at small scale (buffer and equipment preparation/ cleaning/ sterilization, various types of centrifugations and filtrations, etc.) and practical applications of laboratory techniques. Other activities may include experimental design and optimization, large scale protocol execution, sample and scheduling coordination with execution team, data analysis and technical writing of protocols and reports.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in chemical/biochemical engineering, chemistry, or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2028
  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

  • The salary range for this position is $29-$45 hourly.
  • All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
