The training intern will assist in developing and delivering training programs. This includes conducting needs assessments, designing and developing training materials, and/or facilitating training sessions. You will work closely with subject matter experts and other team members to ensure the effectiveness of our training initiatives. At Ambius, interior plantscaping means more than just plants. In summary we are responsible for providing any sized organisation with interior plantscaping which engages clients and their staff through the health benefits of plants indoors.

Requirements

  • Technical skills: Familiarity with Google Suite; authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or other e-learning platforms a plus
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify problems, analyze information, and develop creative solutions.
  • Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of instructional materials.
  • Teamwork skills: The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including subject matter experts and other designers.
  • Possesses or working towards an undergraduate, master’s degree, or certificate in education, instructional design, or other relevant fields with at least 60 hours of coursework completed at the bachelor’s level.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting needs assessments to identify training gaps and opportunities.
  • Research and analyze instructional design theories and best practices.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and SMEs to collaborate and create curriculum to fit training needs.
  • Develop practical and engaging facilitator and participant materials including presentations, job aids, and other learning materials that align with the training strategy.
  • Apply principles of adult learning, learning methodologies, and focused instructional design approaches and processes to training solutions.
  • Evaluate training data to make recommendations on program improvement.
  • Facilitate in person and virtual training as needed.
