Requirements

  • Missouri:
  • Master's or bachelor's degree (non-licensed) in a human services field, and/or certified/credentialed to provide services within scope of practice
  • Hold the credentials of a Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB)
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
  • Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC)
  • Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRAADC)
  • Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP)
  • Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor-Provisional (RADC-P)
  • Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADC)
  • Co-occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP)
  • Co-occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate (CDPD-D); OR
  • Hold the credentials of a Qualified Mental Health Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB)
  • Individual with a master's or bachelor's degree in a human services field (non-licensed) and/or is certified/credentialing to provide services within their scope of practice.
  • Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC)
  • OR
  • Appropriate State Board
  • Individuals must be willing to become credentialed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in. Individuals must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve.
  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
  • All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
  • Current driver's license in state of residency, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
  • First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
  • Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
  • Behavioral Management training completed within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date:
  • CPI for Residential programs
  • Peaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient programs
  • Achievement of fifty (50) hour training requirement annually (Missouri Only)
  • Growth and Development form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Privileging and Credentialing form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the associate is assigned.
  • Provide a copy of applicable certifications/licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Complete intake/screening/assessment process within appropriate time frames as designated by state regulatory/accrediting body/agency standards.
  • Develop treatment plans for clients in accordance with state regulatory/accrediting body guidelines that demonstrate individualization and evolution based on information gathered from assessment.
  • Complete correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Participate in clinical staffing/treatment team meetings providing feedback on pertinent cases.
  • Adhere to weekly Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) expectations/service provision model.
  • Document all services provided in accordance with state regulatory/accrediting body/agency standards.
  • Ensure that services are entered within the appropriate time frame, appropriate format, note refer to treatment plans, etc.
  • Correct any file/charting deficiencies within the appropriate time frame.
  • Assist clients through the transition process and complete final correspondence such as transition summary, plan, letter, etc.
  • Complete annual training identified through individualized training plan meeting minimum training hours per American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) with focus on evidence-based practices (EBP) and improved clinical skill sets (Missouri) and 40 hours of training every 2 years with 3 hours being Ethics (Kansas).
  • Represent the agency within the community in a professional manner.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies.
  • Handle crisis situations as they arise.
  • Facilitate group counseling, group education, family conferences, and individual sessions focused on resolving problems related to substance use that interfere with the person's functioning.
  • Work with clients/patients to examine attitudes, feelings, and behaviors that promote recovery, healthy decision making, and improved problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates interest in long-term and short-term goals and objectives of the company.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, Vice President, or the Executive Team members.
