The Westminster School District, located in West Orange County, operates 17 schools: 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one site which provides preschool programs. The District has approximately 1,100 employees. The Westminster School District is recognized for high academic achievement and serves about 8,000 students, grades Preschool-8th. The district offers a broad scope of supplemental instructional programs including two dual immersion programs, GATE academy, music and band, exploratory STEAM/Coding programs, and state-of-the-art science and art facilities. Modern library-media centers, integration of technology, and specialized instruction help provide a well-balanced and rigorous curriculum to support students in becoming innovative, critical thinkers who readily adapt to a rapidly changing 21st-century environment.

Teaching credential (minimum 30-day substitute permit for prospective teachers )

Proof of current negative TB test or TB risk assessment
OCDE Fingerprint
Fingerprinting: All individuals seeking employment in any public school district in Orange County, including substitute teaching positions, are required to complete fingerprinting. This includes:
Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC): Fingerprinting for the CTC is necessary for obtaining or maintaining your teaching credentials.
OCDE Clearing House: Fingerprinting for the OCDE Clearing House is a separate and mandatory requirement for local clearance to work in Orange County public schools.
Regardless of your CTC status, all prospective substitute teachers for public schools in Orange County must still be fingerprinted for the OCDE Clearing House. This is a separate and mandatory requirement for local clearance.
Applicant must have a current teaching credential, TB test and identification to be able to work.
