About The Position
Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers who will serve in a critical role that supports the educational environment in the absence of the classroom teacher. As a Substitute at SCPS, you will teach lesson plans as outlined by the teacher, encourage and maintain a positive classroom environment and work closely with students to ensure their academic needs are met. Supported by members of staff and administration, this position offers many networking and experience opportunites to those new to Education AND those who have been a part of this industry for many years. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Preferred age of 21 years or older. If an applicant is under 21, proof of enrollment in an education program must be provided.
- A negative tuberculosis (TB) test result must be presented prior to your application being considered.
