Job Goal: Substitute Teachers will need to execute lesson plans left by the absent teacher, create and maintain a respectful and fair classroom culture that fosters a safe and productive learning environment. Substitute Teachers will monitor, observe, and report student behavior according to school policies and procedures. Qualifications: Candidate must be at least 18 years of age; Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Certificate (GED) Terms of Employment: Assuming you are available for substitute teacher assignments, our need for Substitutes will vary from day-to-day and week-to-week and, as such, we cannot guarantee work each day. Employment in this regard, is therefore not applicable under the provisions of chapter 71, Section 41 of the Massachusetts General Laws pertaining to tenure of teachers and school nurses. Substitutes will have reasonable assurance of employment as an Intermittent Substitute Teacher during the forthcoming year. September – June (Available assignments are based on a scheduled school year) Location: District Wide - substitutes may be assigned to any school across the district, regardless of job selected through the online platform Daily Hours: 7:45am-2:45pm $150 per day worked Union Status: Non-Union
