About The Position
Preserve the normal routine of the classroom and follow the plans left by the teacher of record.
Requirements
- High school diploma from an accredited high school or hold GED.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
Nice To Haves
- Fifteen credit hours from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Elementary or Secondary teaching certification in a foundation subject area highly preferred.
- Teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction to students.
- Perform absent teacher’s class plan.
- Maintain the established routines and procedures of the campus and classroom.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.
- Perform duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at location of work assignment.
- Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.
- Execute duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247, Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
