We are seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers to join our team. Substitute Teachers play a vital role in ensuring that learning continues seamlessly when classroom teachers are absent.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree or Arkansas teaching license preferred).
• Prior experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
• Commitment to the mission and vision of Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to scholars in accordance with lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
• Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment aligned with ARLCS’s culture and values.
• Manage classroom behavior using proactive strategies and district policies.
• Adapt to various grade levels and subject areas as needed.
• Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records.
• Communicate effectively with staff and scholars to ensure academic continuity.
