DYS Teachers can earn from $66,726 - $113,401 depending on education and experience (includes additional 20% supplement) Small class sizes (6-8 students) Students are an average of 16-18 years old Comprehensive paid training will be provided to the selected candidate Intersession leave – 40 days off per year; 186 student days Additional personal and sick leave No study hall/lunch supervisory responsibilities Duties for a Teacher include, but are not limited to: Assess educational needs of youth\: develop and implement lesson plans to address those needs to include individualized assignments and training; Provide instruction with individual assistance; Counsel students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems; Organize and/or monitor extracurricular activities if assigned.
