POSITION SUMMARY Substitute paraeducators work on an as-needed basis during the school year to fill in for absences and vacancies in a variety of roles, including: General education support Special education One-on-one and classroom support Assignments vary by school and student need. To stay active in the sub pool, accepting two jobs per month is generally expected. If availability is limited, please keep us in the loop. Job Descriptions See the attached files for Paraeducator A and B descriptions for examples of responsibilities. Note: Substitute paraeducators are not required to complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS) or hold CPR/First Aid/AED certification. This position is for individuals available and willing to accept substitute paraeducator assignments, often on short notice.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Meet the qualifications listed in the job descriptions (see attached files)
• Have an associate degree or higher
• Have 72 quarter or 48 semester college credits (100-level or above from an accredited college or university)
• Score 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment
• Cover letter
• Resume
• Two (2) confidential reference surveys
• One must be from a supervisor or someone who has observed you in a workplace, classroom, or volunteer setting
• No personal/family references
• Full ParaPro Assessment score report (all pages, even if blank), AND High school diploma or equivalent
• Official college transcripts (copies of official are accepted)
• Satisfactory feedback from reference checks
• A clear fingerprint-based criminal background check
• Satisfactory sexual misconduct clearance from any prior school district employers
