About The Position

Position Overview ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Skills Collaborates with all ACT Team colleagues to provide comprehensive recovery services to participants while focusing on the substance use/ recovery needs of the individual. Responsible for integrating dual-recovery treatment Provide expert knowledge and guidance on substance use assessment, diagnosis, and treatment interventions, ensuring best practices are followed Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff, community workers, and stakeholders on substance use-related topics, including the latest research, treatment modalities, and harm reduction strategies. Have a strong understanding of substance use disorder assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning Conducts assessments for substance abuse services amongst individuals served during initial assessment period and follow-up assessments on a needed basis. Extensive knowledge of evidence-based practices, treatment modalities, and harm reduction strategies in substance use disorder care. Comprehensive ACT service activities include: Assessing and providing services to participants to address health and wellness, housing, income support, education, vocational training, employment and social supports; support with medications; and weekly groups, complete initial comprehensive recovery-oriented service plan and 6-month plan review incorporating participant and relevant others’ feedback and self-help; wellness self-management with a focus on the development of coping skills; Works to provide dual-recovery treatment with both mental health and substance abuse. Advocating for the rights and preferences of the participant’s needs change. Collaborates with supports and external providers to ensure are met for each participant. Assist participants with; acquiring symptom management skills; identifying and clarifying rehabilitation/ recovery goals, identifying recovery interference situations, exploration of treatment options, resource development, and development of community support systems and networks. Utilizes Evidence Based Practices (EBTs) such as; motivational interviewing, harm reduction, relapse prevention, trauma-informed care and stages of change when delivering services. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in human services or related field - degree is dependent on program credentials needed based on current ratio Must have two or more years’ experience working with dually diagnosed individuals including the delivery of integrated services. Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Proficient in MS Word/Excel. Proficient in basic research. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Requirements
