About The Position

As a Subrogation Specialist at Reserv, you will oversee and manage day-to-day subrogation activity handled by third-party partners. You will serve as the tactical point of coordination for all subrogation workflows, ensuring timely demands, negotiations, documentation, and recoveries. You will also play a strategic role in advancing our subrogation operations by identifying process opportunities, enforcing vendor accountability, collaborating with claims and legal teams, and helping ensure consistent execution standards across programs. This role blends hands-on oversight with operational coordination to support Reserv’s long-term goals for recovery performance and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in claims, subrogation, operations, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in subrogation, auto property damage, casualty, or similar claims work.
  • Strong understanding of liability, comparative negligence, and recovery principles.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with claims systems, arbitration forums, or subrogation workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with or coordinating external subrogation partners is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all third-party subrogation vendors.
  • Monitoring vendor workflows, meeting deadlines for demands, negotiation activity, and how escalations are handled.
  • Tracking open subrogation files, recovery status, aging demands, and follow-up cycles.
  • Reviewing vendor documentation, correspondence, and recovery outcomes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensuring vendors meet Reserv expectations for responsiveness, process consistency, and cycle time performance.
  • Working with claims teams to ensure complete and accurate referral information is provided to vendors.
  • Identifying performance gaps, service issues, or missed opportunities and driving remediation with vendors.
  • Maintaining subrogation reporting including recovery trends, cycle time visibility, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Supporting internal partners in claims, legal, and operations by providing clear updates, insights, and data on subrogation.
  • Recommending improvements and alignment opportunities across vendors to strengthen recovery performance.
