About The Position

Provides senior technical and business expertise supporting large-scale enterprise tax and revenue processing systems. Leads modernization efforts, system integration, and operational continuity across mainframe and distributed environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 15+ years supporting enterprise tax or revenue processing systems
• 10+ years supporting tax systems for state or large public-sector environments
• 20+ years working with mainframe technologies including DB2, COBOL, CICS, JCL, QMF, and related utilities
• Strong experience with distributed technologies, SQL, and EDI standards

Nice To Haves

• Experience with integrated tax processing platforms
• Experience leading application modernization initiatives
• Deep expertise in tax-related business process analysis

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead technical SME for enterprise tax processing platforms
• Support analysis, enhancement, and modernization of revenue and payroll systems
• Lead transition initiatives from legacy mainframe systems to integrated enterprise platforms
• Analyze and optimize tax-related business processes and data flows
• Support system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, security, and operations teams
• Provide technical guidance for batch processing, interfaces, and data exchanges
