The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a qualified and trained Subject Matter Expert for a role in an engineering support services program for U.S. Army customers at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. The Subject Matter Expert is responsible for performing the software engineering function, including the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products to bring about the successful completion of the CYBERTRON program goals and objectives. The CYBERTRON program delivers highly skilled engineering services to the U.S. Army C5ISR Center in their mission of cybersecurity research and development and cryptographic modernization.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering with 12+ of relevant experience.
  • Appropriate DoD 8750 certification (Security+ or higher).
  • Have experience in a variety of software programming languages.
  • Have experience in a variety of business systems and applications.
  • Also have experience in designing, testing, debugging and documenting software.
  • Requires deep knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.

  • Eligible for TS / SCI
  • Master’s degree in computer science, electronics with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting Army programs

Responsibilities

  • Develop computer software code in a variety of software programming languages.
  • Troubleshoots and develops technical solutions related to software and setup errors for field engineers, technicians, and customers.
  • Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Software requirements analysis, analysis of hardware compatibility, development of software products and tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure, and platforms.
  • Ability to handle task specific questions. Support may include physical testing, analyzing data, and interpreting information. Prepare recommendations and solutions for specific areas in question. Provide leadership and direction to team members working on the same project.
