About The Position

The GROW Paraprofessional supports students with significant academic, communication, behavioral, and functional needs in a specialized sub-separate setting. This role assists the special education teacher in providing individualized instruction, maintaining a structured environment, and helping students build independence across routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, behavioral, and functional support under teacher direction.
• Implement modified lessons, prompting systems, reinforcement plans, and behavior strategies.
• Support ADLs (feeding, toileting, hygiene) and classroom routines.
• Promote communication, self-regulation, and social skills throughout the day.
• Collaborate with the teacher and related service providers (SLP, OT, PT, BCBA).
• Maintain a safe, organized, and predictable classroom environment.
• Assist with arrival, dismissal, and transitions.
• Be a team player.
