About The Position

Job Summary The Paraprofessional (2026–2027 School Year) provides instructional and behavioral support to students as assigned for the 2026–2027 academic year, under the direction of the classroom teacher and/or learning consultant. This role supports the implementation of individualized learning plans by assisting with modified instruction, skill reinforcement, remedial support, behavioral interventions, and real-time coaching. The Paraprofessional plays a vital role in promoting student progress, engagement, and independence within the learning environment.

Requirements

  • Teaching or instructional support experience preferred but not required.
  • Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their academic and social development.
  • Ability to follow instructional plans, directions, and guidance provided by teachers and learning consultants.
  • Understanding of child development and the needs of the age group being supported.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in the implementation of individualized learning plans through modified instruction, skill reinforcement, and remedial activities.
  • Assist with behavioral interventions and provide real-time coaching to support positive student behavior and learning outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and learning consultant to carry out instructional strategies and accommodations.
  • Collect, document, and report student performance and behavioral data as directed.
  • Communicate student progress and observations to the classroom teacher and learning consultant in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supervise and support students during instructional activities and other assigned times.
  • Participate in training and utilize provided resources to effectively support student needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
