About The Position

The Culinary Department is seeking a student worker to start in Spring 2026. This position will be responsible for performing office tasks and assisting with miscellaneous duties associated with the culinary program. Primary duties include answering phones, greeting visitors, giving tours, light cleaning, assisting with events, and other general office related tasks. NOTE: This position is not open to current culinary students. Hours for this position are late afternoon until approximately 8pm; Monday - Thursday.

Requirements

• Must be able to work some evenings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Assist students and staff where needed
• Interact with guests and give well informed tours as needed.
• Answer calls and direct accordingly
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 pounds up/down stairs
• Able to maintain confidentiality
• Prior experience working in an office environment
• Customer service related experience
• Must be enrolled in at least one credit hour at Butler Community College.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Canva (or its equivalent) is preferred

• Creation of brochures, posters and signage

• Check in/out books from the Redler library
• Lock/unlock main entrance for students/guests/deliveries etc.
• Take pictures/videos of class work or events as requested
• Assist with projects, print jobs, and occasional cleaning
