Student workers will gain essential entry-level IT skills in networking, cybersecurity, software development, and/or help desk support. They will learn to support various technologies—including PCs, scanners, and printers—and software such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, Internet tools, Canvas, Banner-Web, and introductory programming languages. Working in the E307 Computer Center and Computer & Information Technology (CIT) Department technology centers, they will perform routine maintenance, manage housekeeping tasks, and complete additional assignments as directed by the E307 shift supervisors and department chair of the CIT department.

  • Must be a registered St. Louis Community College student prior to applying for a student worker position.
  • Must maintain student status during employment.
  • Will maintain a 2.0 grade point average while employed as an STLCC student worker.
  • General knowledge of Windows operating systems; Internet browsers, the Microsoft Office Suite and Blackboard/Banner.
  • Completion of nine Information Systems (or computer-intensive) credit hours
  • GPA of 3.0 and up, but will consider 2.5 GPA and up
  • Declared major in Information, Computer Science or technology program
  • Exceptional customer service skills
