To support this philosophy and objective, the Human Resource Department provides a process to allow for a comprehensive search of candidates, inclusive of internal and external applicants. The Program of Adult Literacy Services (PALS) provides non-credit students with educational and workforce training opportunities. Primarily, we offer English-language acquisition (ESL/ELL) programs, short-term career training programs, and preparation to earn a Maryland high school diploma-GED preparation courses and the National External Diploma Program (NEDP). Student workers in the Program of Adult Literacy Services (PALS) assist staff in a variety of office tasks, and they provide exceptional customer service to all students, staff, and visitors.
