About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Division of Community Behavioral Health (CBH) seeks an enthusiastic work-study student who can provide a variety of administrative and data entry roles to support faculty and staff. This position will be responsible for providing in-office front desk reception coverage and requires a friendly, professional, reliable and organized individual who demonstrates strong initiative, attention to detail and possesses excellent time-management and communication skills. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Generate a positive impression of office by greeting visitors, staff, faculty and students. Answering telephone calls and forwarding messages with a high degree of professionalism. Picking-up and sorting mail and receiving packages. Process faculty and staff purchase and travel reimbursements using Chrome River. Assist faculty and staff with organizational and project requests. Input and verify data in prescribed formats, utilizing knowledge of various computer software packages. Complete data entry tasks following a standardized protocol when needed. Recognize issues requiring immediate attention and assisting with solutions. Troubleshoot minor technology issues. Assist with inventory management. Assist with filing, shredding and scanning. Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Ensure strict confidentiality of client records This position is located off campus and is working in the office. This is not a remote position. Students are expected to prioritize work over homework. If no work is available, they are expected to meet with their supervisor for homework approval.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer work study qualified student.
  • Must have consistent availability during regular business hours Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm.
  • Experience as a receptionist and excellent customer services skills.
  • Skilled in the use of personal computers, Chrome River, Excel, Smartsheets, Teams, Zoom and other MS Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with data input and the ability to verify and correct errors.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to protocols and procedures.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience with the use of basic office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
