Term of service is one year long, including the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. The position starts during the current semester in May 2026 following a training period with WICB's current Station Manager Yusef Scott-Wetherbee and the Manager of Television & Radio Operations Rhys Finch. Job Description & Responsibilities: The WICB Station Manager oversees all aspects of WICB’s operation. This includes a variety of activities, which are defined here - • The Station Manager is responsible for guiding the other members of WICB’s management team. This involves helping department heads set goals, ensuring departments have the resources they need to carry out their duties to the best of their ability, providing feedback on performance, and resolving any issues between members of the WICB staff. The Station Manager also works with the WICB management team to create station policies that promote productivity, fairness, and inclusivity. • The Station Manager leads weekly meetings for both the management team and the DJ staff of WICB. These meetings are to inform staff members of important upcoming dates and events, elicit feedback on station and staff performance, and motivate the completion of action items. The Station Manager also frequently meets with WICB's General Manager to discuss new policies, finalize purchases, and plan station events. • The Station Manager is also well-versed in the technical operation of the station, allowing them to upgrade, fix, or troubleshoot the software and hardware used by staff members. • Additional responsibilities and tasks may be completed as assigned by WICB’s General Manager.
