About The Position

The Technical and Accounting Assistant II is responsible for providing backup support for the America Reads/America Counts program by updating statistical data and reporting information to the Center for Civic Engagement in the Collaboratory program. The person in this position will provide support to the management area of the Financial Aid Office as a customer service representative, and a Technical Assistant for the America Reads/America Counts Program (ARAC). This position could provide support to the front desk of the counseling area of the Financial Aid Office. This position is for the spring semester, through the summer session and the next academic year. Students in this position will need the ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing. Students must also be dependable and have attention to detail for this position. Student employees are eligible to participate in the University’s 403(b) Plan.

Requirements

  • A minimum GPA of 2.6
  • Applicants must be eligible for Federal Work Study funding each academic year

Responsibilities

  • Providing backup support for the America Reads/America Counts program by updating statistical data and reporting information to the Center for Civic Engagement in the Collaboratory program
  • Providing support to the management area of the Financial Aid Office as a customer service representative
  • Providing support as a Technical Assistant for the America Reads/America Counts Program (ARAC)
  • Providing support to the front desk of the counseling area of the Financial Aid Office
  • Creating, maintaining and updating forms
  • Creating, maintaining and updating payroll spreadsheets
  • Monitoring tutor group chat entries
  • Creating and updating website links
  • Reviewing reports
  • Verifying information and data entry/building awards in the Campus Solutions system
  • Initiating and responding to correspondence from parents and student borrowers via phone, e-mail and mail
  • Assisting students and families with the ARAC after school program enrollment process
