About The Position

The Student Success Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the success, engagement, and belonging of MD students throughout their academic journey. This position leads the planning and execution of MD orientation programming, manages onboarding processes for incoming students, and supports student leadership development through advising and coordination of registered student organizations affiliated with the MD program. The role collaborates closely with academic affairs, student services, and campus partners to ensure a seamless and supportive student experience. This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. Monday through Friday 8:00a.m.- 4:30p.m. Terminal, [24] month appointment This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting students or coordinating student-facing programs in higher education, student affairs, health professions education, or a related setting
  • Demonstrated experience independently coordinating logistics, communications, and implementation of educational or student programming
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting student leadership and/or student organizations in a higher education setting
  • Experience with program assessment, theme tracking, or continuous improvement efforts

Responsibilities

  • May supervise the day to day activities of one or more academic programs and resolves issues exercising discretion to meet unit goals.
  • Coordinates program components and evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement
  • Identifies program, needs, contributes to the development of unit workflows, schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, events, and interviews
  • Utilizes independent judgement regarding development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation for one or more academic programs, initiatives, or events
