About The Position

The College of Community Engagement and Professions at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee seeks applications for a Student Advising & Support Services (SASS) Office Student Processing Specialist . The College of Community Engagement and Professions (CCEP) Student Advising & Support Services (SASS) Student Processing Specialist will interact directly with prospective and current dual enrollment, undergraduate, graduate, certificate, second degree and post-baccalaureate students. As an integral part of the CCEP SASS team, the Student Processing Specialist will work closely with Academic Advisors (30%) and the Student Well-Being Manager (60%) to provide wrap-around student services for the academic program array of CCEP to ensure the College meets its enrollment, retention and graduation goals and to provide overall satisfaction with the CCEP student experience at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• At least 1 year of professional work or internship/practicum experience providing excellent customer service

Nice To Haves

• Experience assisting students with registration processes in a college/university setting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience building relationships with diverse populations

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of programs, procedures, and policies to provide administrative support and assistance in a student services function, escalating more complex decisions to other personnel
• Tracks prospective and/or current student status on academic progress or related areas
• Provides direction to students and prospective students on a variety of processes including application, registration, financial status, academic and recreational programs, and graduation and licensure requirements
