Student - Private Tutor
About The Position
Must be skilled and knowledgeable in upper-division Math, Science, English, or Business courses. Will work one-on-one with K-16 students, providing academic tutoring and encouragement. Must have a desire to help students be successful in their various academic subjects. Will tutor, track, and report progress, and fulfill other duties assigned. Requirements
- Must be a current UVU Student
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience tutoring or studying the subject.
- Advanced knowledge in math, science, business, or English.
- Advanced knowledge in other areas, such as languages, social sciences, etc., will be considered.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Skills in maintaining accurate records for official files.
- Ability to relate to different academic levels of students.
- Ability to follow through with assignments, schedules, and appointments.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
- Ability to work independently with dependability.
Responsibilities
- Tutors students one-on-one.
- Records notes from tutoring sessions.
- Communicates with Education Counselor.
- Other duties as assigned
