ECU Parent & Family Programs and the Office of Student Transitions is seeking a Student Office Assistant to translate materials from English to Spanish. Responsibilities The Student Office Assistant will: Translate a variety of written documents from English to Spanish while maintaining the content, context, and tone of the original text. Documents to be translated may include promotional material, informational articles, power point presentations, event schedules, websites, and more. Provide quality assurance for the translation process. May have additional opportunity to assist Spanish-speaking students and their families at events such as New Student Orientation, Family Weekend, Pirates Aboard, etc. Work up to 10 hours a week (typically less) between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. May include periodic events outside of typical work hours including evenings or weekends. Other duties as assigned.
