About The Position

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital (SVBGH) is currently recruiting RN Students for the Summer Student Nurse Internship Program (S.N.I.P). Nursing Students are unlicensed staff members who are within two semesters of graduation from an accredited RN program. Dates: May 18 – July 30, 2026 SNIP is an early workforce recruitment initiative offered by Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for senior nursing students completing their last two semesters of an accredited nursing program. SNIP provides aspiring nurses unique opportunities to earn premium pay while working as Nursing Students in our acute care facility that is nationally recognized as a Magnet-designated hospital, and a Level III Trauma Center. In addition to shadowing experiences, participants will be working in the Patient Care Technician role on a variety of units two days a week. Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, VA, is home to the region’s only Level III Trauma Center.
