Columbus Public School District is hiring a Student Information System and Data Steward Administrator. The person will hold a Computer Science, Education Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in student information system management, with a strong focus on Synergy SIS. Experience with state and federal student data reporting requirements is preferred. This position plays a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student data within the Synergy SIS and other integrated data systems used by the Nebraska Department of Education (i.e. Adviser). The Data Steward also acts as a liaison between various school stakeholders and the IT department to optimize Synergy's usage, generate reports, and ensure compliance with reporting guidelines. Oversee and manage the operations and functionality of Synergy SIS across the district, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with established standards and policies. Configure and maintain Synergy modules and functionalities like online registration, scheduling, gradebook, assessment, etc. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Synergy, providing support and guidance to school staff.
