About The Position

This position will have the opportunity to work on projects and tasks to help design and streamline workflows that support transitioning teams from on-prem technologies to Microsoft Fabric, combining workflow mapping with automation initiatives to improve efficiency across engineering activities. An ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or similar field. The program provides an opportunity for students to acquire workflow development, leverage data querying skills, and be introduced to cloud-based data platforms, gaining real-world experience and seeing emerging technologies as they are used in the field. Most of this work will be done in a remote setting, with some work done in the office. Candidates will be exposed to many areas of the data engineering field and gain an understanding of managing that work in a healthcare environment. Gain hands-on experience in designing and automating workflows within a cutting-edge data environment. Work closely with both business and technology teams, developing valuable cross-functional collaboration skills. Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a degree granting college program.

Responsibilities

• Map Current Footprint: Document existing on-prem investments, identifying gaps between current capabilities and cloud-based functionality.
• Design Future-State Processes: Develop optimized process flow plans for migrating on-prem data assets to Microsoft Fabric.
• Support Automation Initiatives: Collaborate with technology teams to identify areas for potential automation and assist in implementing solutions that streamline the migration process.
• Analyze Migration Progress: Track and report on progress against migration needs based on process and automation implementations.
• Prepare Communication Materials: Create clear documentation and presentations for leadership on workflow and automation improvements along with progress towards mapped migrations.
