The Graduate Assistant works as a member of a team to advance and support the operations of the assigned department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, researching, summarizing, and preparing reports on specific topics, contributing to and participating in special programs, preparing spreadsheets and recording and compiling data, designing presentations, scanning (requires FERPA training, which will be provided), general office tasks, and assisting with events. This position requires occasional evening and/or weekend hours. Essential Functions The essential functions performed will vary with the priorities and activities in the assigned office. Perform general administrative support functions that include, but are not limited to: data entry, filing, scanning, creating spreadsheets, running errands, and copying. Prepare summaries, presentations, and reports in the format requested. Assist with events and initiatives. Perform literature research on assigned topics. School of the Sciences (Owings Mills North Campus): Assist with instruction, laboratory inventory, and/or laboratory preparation as assigned. Serve as a resource to faculty through class coverage, exam proctoring, and tutoring sessions. Contribute to and participate in school events.
