About The Position

Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Student Employment Coordinator for Human Resources and Career Services. The selected individual is primarily responsible for assisting in the placement, hiring, and onboarding of student employees and will assist with regular employee sourcing and onboarding. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum two years related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applicant sourcing pool; search for and recruit new employees
  • Oversee employment process for student jobs on campus
  • Assist community employers with posting job opportunities for our students
  • Assist students in resume creation; interview skills; and job search process
  • Attend events on behalf of Career Services; assist with hosting campus events organized by Career Services
  • Correspond with and answer inquiries from potential applicants; ensure a positive candidate/hiring manager experience
  • Receive, screen, track and forward application documents to hiring managers; utilize applicant tracking system
  • Schedule interviews; assist with reference checks and past employment verifications
  • Coordinate background checks and other pre-employment screenings; process E-verify screening
  • Lead employees through the onboarding, new-hire orientation and exiting processes
  • Cross-train in other areas of both departments to provide general department support
