About The Position

The Student Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist I - Workforce Program offers Registered Radiologic Technologists a structured 12-week training pathway to acquire Computed Tomography knowledge and clinical competency. This program encompasses didactic instruction, clinical education, and practical hands-on experience, delivered through innovative educational platforms. The Student CT Technologist I reports to the CT Workforce Development Specialist. Under direct supervision, the Student CT Technologist I is required to fulfill all educational and clinical requirements outlined in the program syllabus within the designated 12-week timeframe. Successful completion of the program leads to eligibility and the expectation to transition into an available full-time CT Technologist position within the Imaging ICEE, provided certification and competency requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
  • 0-2 years of modality specific experience
  • ARRT CT Registration required within 1 year in position
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
  • Voluntary separation prior to completion of the two-year commitment will require reimbursement of didactic education, certification-related expenses, and any applicable sign-on bonus, as outlined in a separate Training Agreement

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete all educational and clinical requirements outlined in the program syllabus within the designated 12-week timeframe
  • Accept an available full-time CT Technologist position and commit to two (2) years of full-time employment in a CT FTE role upon successful completion of the training program
