About The Position

The Student Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist I- Workforce Program provides Registered Radiologic Technologists with a structured 12-week training pathway to gain Computed Tomography knowledge and clinical competency. The program includes didactic instruction, clinical education, and hands-on experience delivered through innovative educational platforms. The Student CT Technologist I- Workforce Program reports to the CT Workforce Development Specialist. Under direct supervision, the Student CT Technologist I is required to complete all educational and clinical requirements outlined in the program syllabus within the designated 12-week timeframe. Successful completion of the program results in eligibility and expectation to transition into an available full-time CT Technologist position within the Imaging ICEE, contingent upon meeting certification and competency requirements Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • The individual must be eligible to pursue ARRT CT post-primary certification and able to meet the physical, clinical, and scheduling requirements of the role.
  • The trainee must obtain ARRT CT post-primary certification within 6 months of program completion.
  • Upon successful completion of the12 week training program, the trainee is required to accept an available full-time CT Technologist position and commit to two (2) years of full-time employment in a CT FTE role.
  • Voluntary separation prior to completion of the two-year commitment will require reimbursement of didactic education, certification-related expenses, and any applicable sign-on bonus, as outlined in a separate Training Agreement.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • 0-2 years of modality specific experience.
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • ARRT CT Registration required within 1 year in position.
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
