Department: COM | Emergency Medicine Administration Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Student Clerkship Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and programmatic support for medical student clerkships, residency programs, and departmental academic activities. This role serves as the primary liaison for medical students, residents, faculty, and leadership, ensuring smooth coordination of training, scheduling, compliance, and educational activities across multiple programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma PLUS six (6) years administrative or program coordination experience OR Bachelor’s Degree PLUS two (2) years administrative experience

  • Experience with student affairs or Graduate Medical Education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate faculty purchasing and travel in compliance with state and institutional policies
  • Process travel arrangements and reimbursements accurately and timely
  • Support special research and academic projects, including compliance tracking and grant application assistance
  • Assist with resident research activities, graduation events, and student research programs
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Department Chair and Service Line Administrator, including reporting, scorecards, onboarding, and special projects
  • Provide administrative support to the Clerkship Director and serve as the primary liaison for rotating medical students
  • Assist with clerkship curriculum support and coordination of required student training (e.g., ACLS)
  • Maintain and update departmental websites, shared files, and presentation materials
  • Support residency program data reporting, annual evaluations, and scorecards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
