About The Position

The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences needs a student associate to assist with every day office duties in the summer. Must be a University of Texas student and eligible for employment.

Requirements

• Ability to collaborate with others and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively through email, phone and in-person.
• Computer literate.
• Experience managing digital documents within UT Box.
• Adept at multitasking.
• This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license.
• The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence.
• If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
• Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Responsibilities

• Refilling copier rooms in both Jackson School buildings.
• Driving vehicles to and from Fleet Services.
• Sorting incoming mail and packages.
• Answering the phone.
• Assisting visitors to the office with directions, answering questions, etc.
