About The Position

On-the-job training will be provided, with the technical assistant working closely with senior laboratory personnel and the Principal Investigator (PI). Applicants should have general microbiology skills, including the maintenance of bacterial cultures, as well as general molecular biology experience such as working with plasmids and generating genetic constructs for bacterial recombineering experiments. The successful applicant will gain hands-on experience in mechanism-driven host–microbe and microbe–microbe interaction studies relevant to gut microbiome science. The technical assistant will participate in daily interactions with lab members and attend weekly formal meetings, where they will be expected to process experimental results and present data for discussion.
